Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to God: “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). NO ONE gets to God the Father unless he goes through Christ. And if you cannot get to God, He cannot hear your prayers.
You can believe in “God” all you want, but if you do not believe in Jesus, it will do you no good. Jesus is the ONLY Mediator between God and men: “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (I Timothy 2:5) (the Virgin Mary is not a “co-mediatrix with Christ), and His death and resurrection is the one and ONLY sacrifice that can take away your sins. You cannot be saved by any other: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Buddha did not die for your sins, neither did Mohammed, Krishna, or Confucius. They are still rotting in the graves, but Jesus is not. He rose Himself from the dead to show the world that He was really God.
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.John 10:17,18
Jesus Christ is the ONLY way into Heaven. He is the very DOOR into Heaven. “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved…” (John 10:9). If you try to enter Heaven any way besides the DOOR, you are a THEIF and a ROBBER. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber” (John 10:1). Think about it. If you tried to get into someone’s house by a means other than the door, how long would it take the owner to call the cops (or fill you full of lead)? Now do you think that THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE will allow you to come into His house your own way?
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 3:36
If you believe on Jesus, you will have eternal life in Heaven. If you try to get into Heaven any other way, the wrath of God will be upon you. Trying to get into Heaven ‘your way’ will only guarantee your place in Hell.
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
